It’s World Bee Day today, drawing attention to the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy. We plant every garden with nectar rich planting. Here’s my bee haven Echium reaching for the sky.
Loved working on this garden in Marden, Kent. A garden designed around our clients existing Catalpa trees 🌳 Key features include material repetition, an immersive sunken seating area and large scaled borders full of our favourites🌳🌳

Our new project this month, a lush, tropical sauna garden with an outdoor kitchen, herb garden and multiple zones 🌳 Greencube Design
Our plant of the week is Dicksonia antartica. This slow growing tree fern is a favourite in our Greencube Design palette. Watch out for the new fronds unfurling this month. Featured here in our Sevenoaks garden. 🌳
Try this for great results in 12 weeks. Sow in Spring or Autumn. I’ve mixed an annual seed mix with a perennial meadow mix. Why? We have lost over 90% of our wildflower meadows in the UK in the last century. Due to land development and changes in farming methods. It’s a nectar rich meadow mix created for Honey and Solitary Bees, Butterflies, Birds, Beetles, Bats and Moths.I have added three Amelanchiers, native Hornbeam trees with a Taxus and Hornbeam corridor. 🌳
We love receiving photos from our clients. Incoming today 🌳A garden we designed 3 years ago. A special garden for a retired industry work colleague and his wife. A huge compliment, thank you for asking us to design your garden, it looks fabulous and I’m looking forward to visiting next month🌳 Design @greencube_design Construction @vu_garden &@beetlestonesdbm
Check out our garden in The English Garden magazine this month. MAY issueThrilled to see our little new build garden gaining further coverage following our win at the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers Awards back in February. The magazine highlights 6 award winning entries: Stating:‘If you need to be convinced of the value a garden designer can bring to a project, it couldn’t be more clearly illustrated than by the transformations this years winning designers have effected for their clients. How their designers turned uninspiring blank canvases into gardens worthy of the industry’s highest accolade.’ 🌳 Designed @greencube_design Planted @greencube_design Construction @hythegardenlandscapes
