Our swimming pool garden is included in Homes & Gardens latest issue, August 2023.
‘The Big Splash’ swimming pool features 10 stunning garden design projects. Ours sits alongside some wonderful garden designs by nine other fab designers and architects.
Our project, a recycled/upcycled 1970’s pool, now tiled with a green mosaic and softened with textural planting, framed with sustainable decking and smooth limestone paving. The steps are formed with a soft contrasting clay brick.
The garden includes a newly planted Yew hedge with seasonal interest added with Pyrus ‘Chanticleer’ trees.
I loved working on this project in Chipstead, Sevenoaks, Kent. A complete remodel of the landscapes that surround the newly refurbished property.
Planting includes sculptural balls of Pittosporum ‘Golf Ball’ clipped to form soft domes, pleached Hornbeam trees to the boundary screening the neighbours property. Traditional roses and ornamental grasses add mid height to this border that flanks the swimming pool.
